Q. My school was registered last year, but now I can't find it? What should I do?

A. You can search for your school here by entering either the school name or postcode. If you have tried this and are still unable to find your school, please contact the Flora Careline on 0800 446 464 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Q. What happens if my school doesn't register for the campaign?

A. If that happens then your tokens will go into a central pot which will then get re-allocated to all the registered schools that have at least 1 token when token registration closes at midday on 5th May 2010.

Q. Can I register on behalf of my child's school?

A. Unfortunately not. We need someone from the school to register so that all the campaign information reaches the correct person. Please feel free to talk to the school and let them know you support teaching cookery and healthy eating! You can download the letter below and hand it to your school, this will tell them how to register.

Q. I have tried to convince my school to register for the free cooking equipment but they are adamant they are not getting involved with a commercial activity.

A. That is a shame because Flora are working hard to get the healthy eating message to children in a way which is both educational and fun. We are glad you are enthusiastic and hope you keep on collecting as any tokens that are not used will go into a pot which will be shared amongst all registered schools that have at least 1 token when token registration closes at midday 5th May 2010.

Q. There is a big banner in the front of my child's school and I don't believe marketing to children is ethical!

A. We are sorry the banner has offended you but it is not aimed at children. The banner has the Flora branding on it outside the school to ensure it is visible to parents. We would like them to get involved in the scheme as it will get much needed cooking resources and equipment into the classrooms.

Q. Can I not just send my children to school with the coverleaf?

A. The scheme has been set up to make it as easy and efficient as possible for the schools. All you have to do is enter your code online and your school will be credited. Your school may have set up a token collection point, where parents can leave their coverleafs. A nominated member of school staff will then need to redeem these tokens online. You could contact your school to see if they are collecting tokens in school. If they are, but they haven't set up a collection point as yet, you could let them know that they can download a label from the teachers resource section of this website to clearly mark a collection point within the school.

Q. How much gets donated to my school?

A. It depends which size special pack of Flora has been purchased,- a 250g tub contains a code that is worth 20p/30c, a 500g tub contains a code that is worth 40p/60c and a 1kg tub contains a code that is worth £1/€1.50!

Q. I have looked online and my school hasn't even raised £5/€5! Why am I going to all this effort?

A. Each token is worth 20p/30c so if every child at your school was to donate 1 token that would be £100/€150 (assuming the school contains 500 pupils) - and that is a lot of cooking equipment! You can view the equipment available and how many tokens your school will need for each item, using the online equipment catalogue.

Please note, registered schools who have collected between 1 and 49 tokens when token registration closes at midday 5th May 2010 will be entitled to receive a special gift pack for the classroom.

Registered schools who have collected 50 tokens or more when token redemption closes at midday 5th May 2010 will be entitled to exchange their tokens for cooking equipment of their choice for the items detailed within the Cooking with Schools equipment catalogue.

Q. Where can I find the tokens?

A. You'll find Cooking with Schools tokens on the coverleaf inside promotional tubs of Flora available from January 2010 to March 2010, while stocks last. Then you simply need to go online, find the school you'd like to register the token for and type in the code.

Q. How do I know how many tokens my school has collected?

A. Each school has its own personalised school landing page where you will be able to see how many tokens your school has collected. Additionally, each school is able to set a collection target and you will be able to view how close your school is to achieving its desired target on this page. To reach this page simply use the search tool to find your desired school.
